Pegasus mail from David Harris and associates is a multiple account e-mail client designed for a network environment.It packs some highly functional features into a tiny program. Pegasus mail handles security options, folders and attachments, filters, forwarding and integrates business cards, order forms and e-mail fingering into one interface. Installation requires winzip and will give the user a choice of network environment, multiple user and single user setup. Pegasus also has support for Novell NetWare and has a useful help guide embedded in the program. Pegasus has a large number of configuration options but it is definitely worth your consideration.

Internet Mail is a almost a full mail client, with text, signature and file attachments capabilities . The usual problem with voice mail is the length of time it takes to upload and download. Vocaltec internet mail features a proprietary compression format which has proven to be very economical but this release is a very limited 10 message edition. You can easily send the voice player to those recipients who do not have internet mail and the player will also read wave files. Text editing and fonts options are limited, the interface is a bit choked but that is the whole point of voice mail. You shouldn't have to type !! The messages arrive as attached files with a "vmf" extension and can be read by any mail client. Register online and get the full version.

Cyber-Info's E-mail Notify, allows you to check on multiple accounts, and employs a number of techniques to notify you of new mail, including blinking num locks (which I couldn't get to work!) and a notification wallpaper. CIE can dialup, check for mail, and launch your mail client to download your messages. You can also opt to read your messages within CIE, selectively delete unwanted messages off the server and draft replies. One notable feature is the antispam list, which is used to automatically refuse messages from specified addresses. Upgrade to version 4.6a, and transfer your hotmail and yahoomail into your mail client. CIE has a number of comparable features to AvirMail but is not as "polished". It stongest suite is its ability to selectively delete mail, and the use of a wider range of notification methods. There is no log of your mail events. If you think you need the additional notification tools, CIE is a good choice.
